28in. nitro reproved damascus barrels, rib engraved 'WILLIAM POWELL & SON. 13, CARRS LANE, BIRMINGHAM.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke, right wall at 19, Anson & Deeley 1875 patent barrel cocking action, patent no. 1756, use number 5781, incorporating WIlliam Powell patent lift-up toplever, patent no. 1163 of 7th May 1864, use number 2426, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and scroll engraving with central floral bouquets, brushed bright and reblued finish overall, 14 1/4in. well-figured stock including horn buttplate, bolstered fore-end, weight 6lb., in a re-lined leather case
