A FINE WAKIZASHI BLADE IN A SHIRA-SAYA, SIGNED 'HOKI NO KAMI FUJIWARA NOBUTAKA', with certificate,
circa 1570, with18 3/4in. curved spear-point blade, narrowed back edge for over two-thirds of its length, slightly swollen at the tip, clearly visible 'hamon' and silver 'habaki', in a later hardwood 'shira-saya', fine condition throughout, with a Japanese language certificate
Other Notes: Notes accompanying this sword state that it was returned to Japan for repolishing in October 1978 at a cost of £211.
