28in. replacement nitro barrels (by the makers in 1965), rib engraved 'WILLIAM POWELL & SON. 35-37. CARRS LANE. BIRMINGHAM.' and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, toplever gold-inlaid '2', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, fine bouquet and scroll engraving, brushed bright and reblued finish, 15in. figured replacement stock, weight 6lb. 7oz., in its makers brass-cornered oak and leather case with some accessories
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that this gun was completed in 1909 for an A. Innes of Newry, Ireland as No.2 of a pair. The makers also confirm that the barrels were replaced by them in 1965
