German, circa 1890, with octagonal 30in. barrel, micro-adjustable fore-sight with side protection ears, micro-adjustable rear-sight movable along an integral rail moulded to the top-flat, rounded receiver with short bolt and horizontal bolt handle, provision for vernier sight to the top-tang (missing), walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (cracked, old attempted repair), raised cheek-piece, 'Swiss' style iron heel-plate, shaped trigger-guard bow with finger-spurs, double-set triggers, iron fore-end cap and provision for under-barrel clearing rod (missing), retaining its Weapons Collection identity disk and plaque to stock
