circa 1880, with octagonal 3in. barrel, crescent fore-sight, the top-strap with patent dates to 1879 and the maker and model details, fluted cylinder, solid frame, chequered hard-rubber grips and sheathed, the whole with a later chrome plating, TOGETHER WITH a possibly associated mahogany storage case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing an empty card carton for 50 .32-100 short cartridges by the US Cartridge Co.
