circa 1845, with colour-hardened fluted 3 1/2in. barrel-group, engraved axis-screw, rounded borderline and scroll engraved boxlock action, the left hand plate signed 'COOPER'S PATENT', double-action only ring-trigger and under-slung hammer, smooth walnut bag-shaped grips and blued grip-straps, the whole retaining strong amounts of original colour and finish
