circa 1853, possibly Belgian produced but Birmingham proved, with octagonal 4 3/8in. barrel, border engraved top-strap with shells engraved to breech, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, plain cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, borderline and scroll engraved two-piece frame, chequered walnut two-piece grip, iron frame and grip-cap, hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole mostly stripped of finish
