circa 1856, with blued octagonal 5 3/4in. barrel, the top-strap signed 'WILKINSON & SON 27 PALL MALL LONDON' within a border and scroll engraved panel, engraved band at muzzle, plain cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, solid borderline and scroll engraved frame, sliding safe behind the cylinder to the right hand side, spurred hammer, chequered one-piece walnut grip with spur for thumb-web, engraved iron butt-cap, scroll engraved trigger-guard bow and compound linkage loading lever mounted to the left hand side of barrel marked 'JOSEPH BRAZIERS PATENT No. 445', the whole retaining a good amount of original blued finish and TOGETHER WITH its retailers original mahogany case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a number of period accessories including a bag shaped powder flask signed 'James Dixon', a mahogany cleaning rod, a brass double cavity bullet-mould, a nipple-key and an oil-bottle
