for 1856, with re-blued 4in. octagonal barrel signed in two lines near breech 'ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW YORK CITY', plain cylinder with roll-engraved 'stagecoach hold-up' scene (rubbed), blued iron frame, blued hammer and trigger, brass trigger-guard and grip-straps (traces of silver-plate remaining) and smooth walnut one-piece grip, iron surfaces refinished throughout
