dated for 1879, with re-blued 21 1/2in. barrel, applied fore-sight blade with side protectors, elevating ladder rear-sight, the nocksform marked 'K.T' over '2162' over 'D.P' over 'C' with the South African broad arrow stamp within a letter 'U', plain receiver with tear-drop cocking indicator, walnut butt-stock, iron heel-plate, short under-lever and walnut full length fore-end with iron barrel-band, nose-cap and clearing rod, no provision for bayonet
