A GOOD .650 PERCUSSION SERVICE PISTOL, MODEL 'INDIA LANCER'S PATTERN', no visible serial number,
dated for 1871, with blued round 8in. barrel, applied crescent blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to the breech together with various ordnance stamps, plain colour-hardened lockplate signed 'BIRMINGHAM' above the date, the tail stamped with a Queens crown over 'EIG' and a broad arrow, plain walnut full-stock stamped 'B. WOODWARD & SONS' opposite the lock together with a large circular stamp containing the name 'BIRMINGHAM' with a crown above surrounding a broad arrow over 'EIG', brass furniture, iron lanyard ring to heel, brass fore-end cap with integral flared ramrod pipe and iron captive stirrup ramrod, much original finish throughout
