circa 1865, with blued 7 1/2in. barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S AMERICA', blued plain cylinder with deeply roll-engraved naval fighting scene and Belgian proofs, colour-hardened open iron frame marked 'COLTS PATENT', blued iron trigger-guard and grip-straps, smooth walnut one-piece grip and hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole retaining much original finish throughout
