for 1856, with 7 1/2in. octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL COLT LONDON', London proofs, plain cylinder with roll engraved scene, open iron frame, iron back-strap and round-backed trigger-guard, chequered walnut one-piece grip and hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole retaining traces of original faded finish and colour, COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers oak case, compartmented and lined in burgundy velvet (faded), Colt's instruction label to inside of lid and including an 'L' shaped nipple key, iron ball and bullet mould, large bag-shaped powder flask marked 'COLT'S NAVY FLASK' and signed 'Dixon & Son, Sheffield', an Eley Bros. cap tin and an original cleaning rod
