circa 1860, with round 21in. barrel, the top-strap signed ''COL. COLT HARTFORD C.T. U.S.A.', applied nickel blade fore-sight, folding leaf rear-sight and additional sighting groove to the top-strap, fully fluted cylinder, solid iron frame (strong traces of blued finish), side-mounted hammer, walnut straight hand butt-stock, the right side with an inlet oval white-metal plaque inscribed '19TH MIDD X. R.V. PRESENTED BY COL? H.H. WILLIAMS, WON BY LC. CI. S. MONEYPENNY 1866', iron carbine heel-plate, brass trigger-guard bow and tang, iron saddle-ring to left hand side of action and articulated under-barrel rammer.
