for 1855, with 7 1/2in. blued octagonal barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL COLT LONDON', scroll engraved muzzle, scroll engraved breech, London proofs, plain cylinder with roll engraved scene, scroll engraved open iron colour-hardened frame, scroll engraved iron back-strap and round-backed trigger-guard, chequered walnut one-piece grip and scroll engraved hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole retaining much original finish and colour, COMPLETE WITH its manufacturers mahogany case, compartmented and lined in red velvet and including an 'L' shaped nipple key, iron ball and bullet mould, large bag-shaped powder flask signed 'James Dixon & Son Sheffield' and a cap tin, the outside of lid bearing an inlaid escutcheon bearing the monogram 'NBR'
