Kriegsmarine issue, dated for 1942 and of the type associated with the U-Boats, with polished aluminium stepped breech 9in. barrels, long receiver with top, centrally mounted three-position selector, the central position marked 'DOPPEL-SCHUSS', polished aluminium frame marked with an eagle-swastika and 'M' with 'III/3' also 'AC42', side-mounted safe, two-piece chequered walnut grips (loss to back-edge of left hand grip), under-lever opening forwards of the trigger-guard and smooth walnut beaver-tail fore-end with frontal hand-stop
