A FINE 9mm (FLOBERT) SINGLE-SHOT GALLERY-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
circa 1909, with 10 1/4in. break-open blued fluted octagonal barrel, opposing flats between the sights, the muzzle engraved 'TOSETTE' on one side and '1909' on the other, block fore-sight with micro adjustable bead between two protectors operating along a gold-filled scale, elevating notch rear-sight re-positionable along a gold-filled dove-tailed scale terminating in gilded arabesques, finely border and scroll engraved colour-hardened receiver with bolstered firing pin, border and scroll engraved colour-hardened bar-action lock with scroll engraved external hammer, blued side-lever opening, chequered pistol-grip butt with colour-hardened and engraved butt-cap, ball finial, engraved finely blued trigger-guard bow with finger-spur and smooth splinter detachable fore-end, the whole remaining in fine condition and appearing little used
