circa 1780, with round iron turn-off 4in. cannon barrel, the top signed 'WEBB-EDGE', raised carved ball-band at breech, London proofs, border engraved bevel-edged stepped tail lock signed 'R. DAYKIN', sliding safe behind the hammer, walnut half-stock florally carved around the top-tang, smooth bag-shaped butt and swollen pommel, iron trigger-guard bow and fore-end tang, finish refreshed
