circa 1863, with blued 8in. octagonal barrel signed 'PATENTED SEPT 14 1858, REMINGTON & SONS, ILION NEWYORK U.S.A., NEW-MODEL', nickel pillar fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, plain blued iron solid frame, plain blued cylinder, smooth walnut two-piece grips stamped with a martial cartouche to the left hand example and brass trigger-guard bow, much original finish remaining throughout
