second model circa 1856, with re-blued 6in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight to rear of top-strap, the top-strap signed 'DEANE & SON 30 KING WILLIAM ST LONDON BRIDGE', plain cylinder with rope-edge border to front and borderline engraving to rear, borderline and scroll engraving to frame, spur-less hammer, 'Y' shaped spring safety, one-piece chequered walnut grip, scroll engraved iron butt-cap, 'Kerr-style' iron rammer, stamped 'TRANTERS PATENT' in an oval to side of the patent double-trigger, brushed bright and re-blued finish throughout TOGETHER WITH a renovated mahogany storage case with an original mould and a number of reproduction accessories
