A CASED 54-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-ACTION FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER, '4TH MODEL', serial no. 21931T.
circa 1863, with octagonal 5 7/8in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, dove-tailed barley-corn fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight top the rear of the top-strap, borderline engraved solid frame, frame mounted cylinder arbor-pin release, plain polished cylinder with rope engraved band to leading edge, hook safety, spurred hammer, chequered walnut one-piece grip, iron butt-cap and trigger-guard bow, fitted with 'Tranter's Patent' rammer to left hand side of barrel, some original finish, TOGETHER WITH a renovated mahogany storage-case, recompartmented and relined in blue baize and containing a period bass bullet mould and powder-flask plus a number of later accessories
