Bohemian, circa 1740, with tapering blued 8 1/4in. barrel, raised carved sighting-rib, gilded boat-shaped fore-sight bracketed with gilded petals and dots, the breech-end with further stylised gilded flowers, solid plain iron top-tang with pointed tail, curved and radiused borderline engraved lock signed around the back of the hammer 'E. COVLAVX', unbridled frizzen, stripy fruitwood full-stock carved around the borders, tear-drops carved behind the lock, sideplate and top-tang, iron borderline engraved long-spurred butt-cap, moulded full-length iron sideplate, iron pillared trigger-guard bow and wood under-barrel ramrod
