STEVENS USA .25RF SINGLE-SHOT SPORTING RIFLE, MODEL 'No 44', serial no. 76281, circa 1920's with 26in. round barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, colour-hardened plain receiver, falling-block action with central hammer, plain walnut straight-hand butt-stock (crack at head and toe) with iron crescent heel-plate, under-lever opening forming the trigger-guard and plain walnut schnabel fore-end (with minor insert repair), the whole retaining some renewed finish
