circa 1914, with 6in. sighted barrel, holster-guides, characteristic cylinder with 'zig-zag' slots, chequered sides to the hammer, plain frame marked '.455 CORDITE', black chequered hard-rubber grips, side-safety catch and lanyard ring at heel, the whole heavily cleaned and polished with some areas of deep pitting
