30in. black powder only fine damascus barrels, ornately matted rib engraved 'PATENT MAY 31 1884 CLIP LUMP' in an oval at the breech end, tubes engraved 'BELMONT INTERCHANGEABLE. FINE DAMASCUS.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and full choke, left bore dimension marginal, treble-grip action, carved percussion fences, slender toplever, broad strikers, rebounding sidelocks with c-scroll hammers, border engraving with vignettes of english hounds, the triggerguard engraved '1B1E', brushed bright and blued finish, 14 3/8in. figured semi-pistolgrip stock with ornate chequering borders, the hand inset with a blank silver shield escutcheon, buttplate with the Belmont Interchangeable logo, fore-end with ornate horn finial, weight 6lb. 8oz.
