A LARGE SWEDISH POWDER-HORN SHOOTING-TROPHY,
dated for 1874, constructed of natural cows horn, adjustable brass nozzle (traces of plating), large white-metal end-cap with indented turned down engraved edge, the centre engraved with a garland surmounted by a hunters horn above crossed percussion rifles, a central circle engraved with a Swedish inscription which translates as '3RD PRIZE AT THE SHOOTING COMPETITION 2-8-74 at 800 FEET RANGE' together with the name 'ERNST HOLMGREN' in a banner and two suspension rings to the body
