SHORT & MASON LTD, LONDON MILITARY ISSUE BRASS AND STEEL GUN-LAYING CLINOMETER, circa 1940, probably for use with heavy machine-gun volley-fire, comprising of a brass base-plate with adjustable spirit-level platform and plated fold-out sight and adjustable scale, the whole contained within its original leather, velvet-lined carry-pouch marked 'TIMBERS 1940 MKVI.
