28in. fine damascus barrels, partially matted raised rib with open sights and folding leaf sight marked for 200 yards and with white metal inlaid sight lines, bead fore-sight, central section of rib engraved 'ALEXR. HENRY, EDINBURGH AND LONDON. MAKER TO THEIR ROYAL HIGHNESS' THE PRINCE OF WALES AND DUKE OF EDINBURGH', Henry patent rifling, patent no. 2802 of 15th November 1860, Adams & Tait use number 5766, long action with Jones patent rotary-underlever, carved percussion fences, rebounding back-action locks with bolted dolphin hammers, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving with some ropework bordering, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 3/8in. highly-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap (with trap), engraved sling eyes and engraved steel heel and toe plates, fore-end with grip-catch release lever, weight 8lb. 9oz., in its brass-cornered oak and leather case with serial numbered or calibre designated accessories and gold-tooled red leather trade label
