Continental, circa 1855, with best quality fully fluted fine-twist 30in. damascus barrels, the top-rib marked in relief engraving 'DAMAS TURC SUPERFIN' surrounded by fine scroll engraving continued onto the breech-ends, bead fore-sight, scroll engraved top-tang, rococco bordered back-action locks engraved with feathered scrolls and game scenes of hunting dogs, carved hammers engraved with scrolls, highly figured walnut half-stock carved with acanthus leaves at the wrist, raised tear-drop cheek-piece, iron furniture, the heel-plate top-spur engraved en-suite with the locks, horn cover to the trigger-guard tang, scrolled trigger-guard bow, smooth fore-end and wooden under-barrel ramrod with fluted thimbles
