MADE OF SIR JOSEPH WHITWORTH'S FLUID PRESSED STEEL' and inscribed '2' with a flash of scroll engraving at the breech-end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true and imp. cyl., self-opening action, removable striker discs, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, arrow cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured replacement stock including 1 5/8in. wooden extension, weight 5lb. 15oz., in a brass-cornered tan leather guncase
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that this shotgun was completed 1889 for a Mrs. Myers, the original barrel length is not recorded.
