circa 1800, with brushed bright round tapering 12in. barrel, private Tower proofs and makers mark at breech, squared solid tang, radiused borderline engraved lock signed 'TOWER' at the tail and marked with a crown over 'GR' forwards of the hammer, walnut full-stock with carved apron around the top-tang, brass escutcheon to the wrist, brass long-eared butt-cap, brass trigger guard and bottom tang, brass ramrod thimbles and brass mounted wood ramrod (stock with repairs and inlets, mainly to fore-end)
