A FINE AND RARE .500 (BOXER) FIVE-SHOT ENGRAVED AND SILVER-PLATED REVOLVER, MODEL 'PRYSE-ACTION', serial no. 2333,
circa 1880, with octagonal 4in. barrel, raised sighting rib with crescent fore-sight and signed 'LINCOLN JEFFERIES, GOLD PRIZE LONDON 1870, FIELD PRIZE LONDON 1879', the bottom flat of barrel marked with the serial number and 'HENRY'S RIFLING A&T 2672', muzzle with engraved band and scrolls, further scroll engraving to the breech-end, fully scroll engraved break-open frame with twin scroll engraved Pryse bars and gilt-washed screws and pins, plain cylinder with engraved band to leading edge and scroll engraving over each chamber and signed around the circumference 'MARENAS MADRID', smooth one-piece ivory grip, scroll engraved butt-cap with lanyard ring and scroll engraved trigger-guard bow, the whole retaining virtually all its original silver-plate (some small losses to sharp edges and high-spots) and appearing little used
