A NICKEL-SILVER MOUNTED BOWIE-KNIFE WITH 'HORSE-GATOR' HILT,
circa 1950, with 10in. clip-point blade false-edged for the last 7in., scalloped back, the forte stamped 'R. MIDDLETON, SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND' and 'HAND FORGED' on the reverse, plain nickel-silver boat-shaped cross-guard with truncated ends, swamped hilt with ivory scales, nickel-silver pommel embossed with the 'horse-gator' design, no scabbard, some polished pitting to back-edge
