A 25-BORE FLINTLOCK DOUBLE-BARRELLED SPORTING-GUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1790, with browned 36 1/2in. barrels, sunken top-rib with applied white-metal fore-sight bead, deeply struck makers marks at breech, plain top-tang with 'eared' rear-sight groove, plain curved and radiused brushed locks, roller-bearings to the frizzen-springs, chequered hand-rail style half-stock in the French taste with inlet white-metal wire scrolls detailing the raised cheek-piece, iron butt-cap with carved border, iron trigger guard with raised tang and pillar-fronted bow, vase finial, engraved iron ramrod throat and turned white-metal pipes, replacement ramrod (small loss to wood alongside top-tang)
