AN UNUSUAL 18-BORE NICKEL-BODIED PERCUSSION TURN-OFF SASH-PISTOL, MODEL 'QUEEN-ANNE', no visible serial number,
circa 1775 with later conversion to percussion, re-blued banded 5 3/8in. cannon-barrel, iron radiused corner border and scroll engraved boxlock action with large carved drum and nipple percussion conversion, the top and side plate engraved in a similar fashion but constructed of nickel-silver and signed 'D. EGG LONDON', the underside with London proofs and makers mark 'I.B.' (possibly James Barbar), later or possibly re-profiled walnut bag-shaped chequered butt, with clipped-corner rectangular escutcheon monogrammed 'PBM' and iron trigger-guard safe
