A SCARCE 14-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT SERVICE PISTOL, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'DUTCH NAVY BELT PISTOL', serial no. 654,
converted from flint and dated for 1825, with 8 1/4in. plain round barrel 'in the white', the breech stamped with crossed anchors and Dutch inspectors marks, flat bevel-edged lock stamped '25', radiused tail, remains of the original brass pan, spurred hammer, walnut half-stock with bag-shaped butt (some repairs), full length iron backstrap adjoining the tang and brass butt-cap, brass trigger-guard bow, brass twin-banded nose-cap with iron side-bar, saddle-ring and belt hook, captive iron stirrup ramrod
