A 20-BORE FLINTLOCK SASH-PISTOL, no visible serial number,
Dutch circa 1765, with slightly swamped 8 1/2in. two-stage barrel etched with false damascus, silver boat-shaped fore-sight, moulded bands at the breech and intersection, the breech encrusted with silver decoration accented with silver dots and inlaid with a small copper crescent and struck with a copper-lined mark, plain top-tang, plain flat lock with moulded border and stepped tail, signed forwards of the hammer 'JEAN DUSSEAU CULEMBURG' (sic), faceted pan and re-faced frizzen, moulded lightly carved walnut full-stock (repairs), brass furniture (originally gilded) including engraved rococo beaked butt-cap, moulded sideplate, rococo engraved trigger-guard, turned ramrod thimbles and horn tipped wood ramrod
