26in. nitro reproved barrels (shortened), tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND. 98 NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.' (faint), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. choke in both, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, border engraving, the underside with 'PATENT EJECTOR', brushed bright and blued finish overall, 14 1/4in. figured stock including 1in. wooden extension, fore-end with Deeley & Edge patent release catch, weight 5lb. 8oz.
Provenance: Tha makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was competed as a 20-bore No.3 Model ejector gun, with 30in. barrels for 'Millis' in 1900 and subsequently sold second hand to a T.W. Walmsley
