circa 1940, with arsenal produced 27 1/2in. blade, full length fuller along the back edge, typical 'shin-gunto' style 'tsuba' with locking catch, cast aluminium hilt in imitation of binding, green-brown painted iron 'saya' with a good amount of original finish and one suspension ring
