Continental, circa 1760, with two-stage deeply rifled brushed-bright slightly-swamped 9in. barrel banded at the intersection, applied pinched-blade fore-sight, the octagonal breech-section turning to polygonal, plain top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved flat lock with bevel-edged stepped tail, scroll engraved hammer, lozenge-shaped pan, walnut full-stock carved with foliage in relief behind the top-tang (small old losses to wood), brass beaked butt-cap with embossed rococo scroll-work and moulded border, en-suite trigger-guard and bow (trigger-blade replaced), brass rococo decorated side-plate, turned ramrod throat and pipe and replacement ramrod
