possibly converted from a flintlock rampart gun circa 1800, with extremely heavy round 54 1/2in. barrel possibly for ball, London proofs and a small 'D9' stamped at breech, oversize musket-type lock with large hammer and oversize dome-headed hammer-spindle retaining screw, walnut full-stock swollen where drilled for the iron stirrup pintle-mount (supplied), brass furniture including brass ribbon sideplate joining the two side-nails, brass pipes and possibly associated heavy iron ramrod, overall weight without mount: 35lbs
