circa 1822, with tapering iron 9in. barrel stamped at the breech with a small 'M' surmounted with a crown, moulded band at breech with solid plain top-tang, borderline engraved bevel-edged step-tailed lock marked 'WR' beneath a crown, the sliding safe behind the hammer missing, walnut three-quarter stock stamped 'B.O.' beneath a broad arrow behind the lock, brass furniture including dome-shaped pommel-cap, trigger-guard tang and bow, the latter stamped 'Y.H.' over 'G' over '27' (Yorkshire Hussars), 'S' shaped side-plate and nose-cap, iron captive stirrup ramrod
