Provenance: We have been kindly supplied with the following provenance by the vendor:

"The rifle was made originally for Lord Brownlow in the early half of the 1900s who used to own the Belton House Estate. It was later used by the head keeper and land agent for managing the fallow deer in the park there, after it was given to the National Trust in the mid 1970s. My father bought it from them in 1985/6 when they replaced the rifle with a 243. I have used it in conjunction with my father, up until his death in 1999 and had much pleasure stalking and reloading ammunition for it since 1985/6"

Other Notes: The rifle is sold together with 60 rounds of 6.5x54 MS by RWS, soft point round nose bullet 159 grains
