dated for 1865, with round 40in. barrel (cleaned), octagonal breech section with the date to the top-flat and an American eagle stamped to the snail, plain bar-action lock stamped with an American eagle and 'REMINGTON'S ILION, N.Y.', dated at tail, walnut three-quarter stock with iron furniture (cleaned, some staining), three barrel-bands and original tulip-headed iron ramrod
