circa 1852, with octagonal 4 3/4in. barrel signed 'J. DONALDSON, DRIFFIELD', dove-tailed fore-sight (blade missing), engraved band at muzzle, plain cylinder with London proofs, each chamber numbered from '1' to '6' respectively, open iron frame with scroll-engraving to the action-sides, spur-less hammer, chequered walnut butt with rectangular escutcheon to wrist, iron domed grip-cap with central cap-box, iron trigger-guard bow (corroded) and Lang's patent articulated under-barrel rammer, the whole stripped of finish with some loss to detail
