A 12-BORE (BELTED-BALL) PERCUSSION SINGLE-SHOT SPORTING-RIFLE, no visible serial number,
circa 1845, with heavy twist-iron octagonal 32in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'BRAGG, 43 HIGH HOLBORN LONDON', dove-tailed fore-sight, rear-sight with one standing and two folding leaves, engraved breech-block with platinum plug, scroll engraved top-tang, bar-action border and scroll engraved lock signed 'BRAGG, LONDON', further engraving of a recumbent stag, sliding safe behind the hammer, walnut half-stock with fine chequering (worn, small losses to the edges of the fore-end), raised cheek-piece, iron furniture including chequered pistol-grip spur to the trigger-guard tang and provision for under-barrel ramrod (missing), some discolouration and minor pitting to exposed iron surfaces
