A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARREL SPORTING-GUN, no visible serial number,
circa 1800, with 36 1/2in. two-stage barrel, applied silver fore-sight, London proofs at breech, replacement hook and top-tang, slightly curved bevel-edged step-tailed lock signed 'TWIGG & BASS' with roller bearing to the frizzen-spring, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture and replacement wood ramrod (some cleaning and mild pitting to exposed iron surfaces)
