A 12-BORE FLINTLOCK SINGLE-BARRELLED FOWLING-PIECE, UNSIGNED, no visible serial number,
circa 1790, with a swamped 40 3/4in. barrel (in the white), short sighting rib with tear-drop terminus carved to the breech, plain hooked breech and top-tang (pitting), plain flat lock with makers details deliberately defaced, walnut handrail full-stock carved around the top-tang and with 'Durs' style dot and checkerboard chequering, brass furniture including heel-plate with engraved top-spur, pierced acanthus foliage side-plate, trigger-guard tang and bow and ramrod thimbles, separate fore-end with brass spacers (forward portion renewed and missing ramrod)
