A SCARCE .177 BARREL-COCKING SPRING-PISTON AIR-PISTOL, MODEL 'PRE-WAR JUNIOR TRANSITIONAL', serial no. J30235,
for 1939, with snub-nosed smooth-bore 6in. blued barrel, blade fore-sight, fixed rear-sight, blued air-chamber with the 'BIRMINGHAM 4' address, blued frame and blued tin-plate ribbed grips, the whole retaining much of its original factory finish
Other Notes: This particular 'Junior' has one of the highest recorded serial numbers for a pre-war example and the later short-nosed barrel usually associated with post war models
