circa 1730, with tapering multi-stage turn-off 2in. cannon-barrel, rounded truncated conical breech following the lines of the barrel, London proofs, separate top-tang with carved acanthus finial, the radiused action body signed below the 'L' shaped frizzen-spring, walnut bulbous swollen butt with carved borders (old repairs behind top-tang) and applied iron trigger-guard bow with acanthus finials (exposed iron surfaced cleaned with some mild pitting)
